We received these fabulous pics from Ivan at Teague Chokes with his new Hiroki 2 Sport frames that he picked up at The Great British Shooting Show. As you can see from the images, part of the Hiroki’s design that makes them so well suited for shooting is that they sit high on the features. As a result, they don’t impede the wearer when they mount the gun to their shoulder. Additionally the super slim titanium frames are not a visual impediment which may tempt the wearer to lift their head. We had a lovely time at Wellshead in Somerset, at a privately owned Estate in the heart of Exmoor with friends and family. As you can see from the pics, we struggled for sun on the day. Here at Edwards Eyewear, we work on the golden rule of: “treat others as you would wish to be treated”. While we appreciate the loyalty and support of those buying our product, we do not tolerate rudeness by anyone, even if they’re a paying customer. As some of you know, our best-selling Hiroki 2 frames have been sold out for some time - and we have been accepting pre-orders for the next available stock. The wait time is advertised as at least 3 months. Some stock has arrived this week and we’ve been advising those with pre-orders that their frames have been delivered and are now being glazed. However some people are happier about this than others.... The slides above are highlights from a recent customer interaction after we let him know his frames had arrived from Japan, but just needed to be glazed and he could expect delivery in January. Their reply was a barrage of abuse. “Design is a balance between form and function - it takes two.” The design for our Hiroki aviator frames was based on giving the wearer an almost unimpeded view; particularly at the furthest points of their peripheral vision. This meant a super thin lightweight frame, which lead into using Japanese titanium as a material. Titanium offered the thinness required, but also the strength we desired to offer a robust product.
